LaSalle Street Church

Cornerstone Counseling Center of Chicago is excited to continue a strong relationship with LaSalle Street Church through its Breaking Bread ministry, the LaSalle Senior Center and Cornerstone Academy.

CCCOC therapist Sally Hale has coordinated two 6-week long art therapy programs for Breaking Bread guests since October. Other CCCOC therapists support the guests of Breaking Bread through individual therapy sessions.

CCCOC was excited to provide special free depression screenings for members of the LaSalle Senior Center as part of National Depression Screening Day in October. Members of the Senior Center also volunteer frequently to support CCCOC in its mission to bring hope and healing.

During the 2007-2008 school year, CCCOC will provide group therapy sessions for Academy students both independently and in collaboration with DMDL, Inc.. CCCOC therapists also provide individual counseling for Cornerstone Academy students as referrals are needed. Because of our proximity in sharing the same floor of the Cornerstone Center, the Academy students are some of our best volunteers and often help with our newsletter and other large mailings.
